Dock of the Bay

Enjoyable location especially if you can eat outside by the water. Great food with large portions at reasonable prices and a very friendly staff who do not interrupt your meal several times asking questions. Menu was excellent with a great selection of different meals. Stakes and pork choices, seafoods a plenty , chicken dinners and lunch selections. Highly recommend when in Gravenhurst and looking for good food.

Beautiful dock side view and taste food, good choice at Muskoka bay

I was pretty disappointed. We had a reservation for 18 and the restaurant only assigned one waitress to serve us. While she did what she could, she couldn't keep up. The first issue was the lipstick prints on the rim of my glass of water. Took 45 minutes to get a replacement. It took more than 1 hour to place an order for a steak, more than another hour and a half to get the steak, and the entire meal took more than 3 hours from start to finish. While the steak was cooked how I asked for it, I definitely don't think they used the piece of prime beef that I paid for. I would have also had a few glasses of wine, but they only ever took one drink order from me. If you have any other opportunities for dinner I'd recommend that you avoid this restaurant at all costs.

Good food,the lunch which was the potatoes bacon soup was delicious. 4 stars because when I ordered burger it was overgrilled, second attempt was tasty. Pickerel Tacos was delicious. Playing nice soft jazz music providing relaxing atmosphere.

We have been there before and it was good then. Tonight was very good and the cheese cake carrot cake with caramel thing for desert was out of this world. Served with a little cream and not too sweet at all... Miles was our server and he was fantastic.

The view from the dock seating is fantastic overlooking the warf! The main dishes were lackluster as were the desserts... disappointing with the cost involved... however... the Dock Steak Slider was absolutely delicious with the steak seared and cooked to perfection... it was the star of the show! Our waiter Jonathon was a gracious server who was attentive and cheerful! We also enjoyed our drinks from the bar... kudos!

Always like this place! Beautiful view, got to sit on the patio by the lake, amazing lake view, relaxing lunch spot. Great service, the restaurant’s management knows what they are doing, great reservation system, very good food- open face prime rib sandwich had yummy sauce on it, everything taste wonderful! Love the dessert, carrot caramel cheese cake were sooooooo good! The best dessert ever!!!

I love having dinner down at the wharf. This is an excellent spot for a sit down meal. The wharf is lacking in terms of nightlife but at no fault of this establishment located right on Lake Muskoka. Will return.

We had dinner here two nights in a row, we love the place. Great patio, food was very good, service was good. They had fantastic live music. Would recommend and go again.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Wayne and his staff are. We celebrated our wedding at Dock of the Bay on June 29 and we couldn't have chosen a better location. The view, the professionalism and service given by the staff, THE FOOD...all superb. Wayne was extremely easy to deal with and beyond accommodating to all requests. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Had fabulous dinner here. Best stake we had in Muskoka region to be honest. Friendly and efficient service.

We were a group of 8 last night. First the positive experience. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The ambience is really good. The appetizers we were served were excellent. The food however was not satisfactory especially considering the prices. The gnocchi that a few of us had was bland and not served hot enough .. border line. One of our group was served a steak that was warm and sent back to be heated. The steak was also very tough. When this was explained to the waitress no effort was made to compromise. We had come back having visited this restaurant last year where we had an excellent meal but we will look elsewhere on our next trip.

Great restaurant. They have a great selection of sauces to try with the different steaks, and everything is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Recommended!

Enjoyed an evening cocktail and appetizer on the patio. The staff was excellent, very attentive and pleasant. They have a screened in area on the patio so the bugs do not put a damper on your evening. The appetizers were good as were the drinks. The view as always was spectacular. And they have verrrry soft napkins!

Excellent meal. During the summer be sure to make a reservation on the patio to watch the sunset! Got the daily fish special, it was excellent.

Great service in a friendly family atmosphere. My wife's meal was enough for dinner and lunch. The next day it was as flavourfull as the day before.

Not a place to go if you have children. My baby is usually a quiet and happy child. She was tired that day and got cranky. She cried for few seconds and we were asked to move from the place we were originally seated. We understood since it was due to another customer complaining. But, they gave us a dirty place right in front of the restroom. We felt humiliated and left the place immediately. We dine out quite a lot and this was the worst experience ever!

Nice. Disappointed we were not seated right by the water. The advertisement made the place look more spectacular then it is. Staff was busy but efficient. Been there,done that. Food was exellent. May be back.

My fiance and I ate there for our second anniversary and the food was spectacular. We made an early reservation of 4:30 so the service was quick and friendly. I had the 8oz steak with garlic mashed potatoes and she had a pasta dish. Both were delicious. The pecan pie dessert was just ok. Make an early reservation because this place gets very busy.

Amazing high quality food, prepared expertly. Recommend the Open faced roast beef. Patio on the lake makes for a fantastic atmosphere. Service was good. The soft linen napkins are an unusual extra touch of luxury! Washrooms were clean and the stalls unusually large, also wheelchair accessible. See pics.

My husband and I just hosted our wedding reception at Dock of the Bay and everything was absolutely perfect! They catered to every single guests' needs and went above and beyond in every sense. Service was amazing and our guests cannot stop talking about how incredible the food was, stating it was the best wedding buffet they had ever had. Breath-taking view and sunset, but it was really the staff that blew our minds. A huge thank you to Wayne (owner), Chef Darren, and all of the amazing, hard working staff at Dock of the Bay. You put the icing on top of our special day and we can't wait to go back again for dinner!

The old saying "you get what you pay for" is true here. The Dock of the bay is not in expensive by any means but more than worth it. Our meals were both fantastic from presentation to taste. Steak was perfectly done ans so very tender, tenderloin was to die for... Good selection of wines. Desert was the only thing we felt was fair a bit disappointed after a fabulous meal but not bad. The setting on Lake Muskoka was perfect and the service was good. I highly recommend this establishment.
